Part of being a Baltimore wedding photographer is working alongside other amazing, talented artists. I recently worked with Rachel V. King Photography to associate shoot an intimate elopement at Chase Court in Baltimore, and I am still drooling over it. Sadie and Aleksey are just electric. I’m not sure how else to describe their love, joy, and energy. They are two of the kindest, most intentional people I have ever met. It was such an honor to photograph their Chase Court elopement!

Sadie and her mom got ready together in Chase Court’s bridal suite, soaking in those beautiful moments before Sadie and Aleskey’s first look. Once she was ready, Sadie slipped outside the venue to greet Aleskey. The smile on his face when he saw his bride said it all! Since the venue is located in the heart of downtown Baltimore, many people walked by and congratulated the couple. But nothing beats the woman who was just so excited for them that she watched the entire first look with Sadie’s mom! She gave each of them a big hug and even asked for a photo with them. Sadie and Aleskey thought it was the greatest thing and laughed about it throughout the whole day.
My favorite part about Chase Court (besides the super cool gothic architecture) is how intimate, beautiful, and green it is. Sadie and Aleskey got married in the courtyard, which is enclosed by stone walls and lined with foliage. The trellis is covered with climbing vines, making it feel like a secret garden in the middle of the city. The 40-some guests smiled through the entire ceremony and were quick to hug and congratulate the couple right after the ceremony ended! Everything felt so personal, special, and intentional.

Soon after the ceremony, I whisked Sadie and Aleskey away for their bride and groom portraits outside of the Belvedere Hotel. This 1920s hotel is a Baltimore staple, and provided the perfect backdrop for Sadie and Aleskey’s street-style portraits. There’s something so special about traipsing around a city in your wedding clothes. Sadie and Aleskey were so much fun to be around, and their joy was infectious.
We reconvened with their guests at Sotto Sopra, a farm-to-table Italian restaurant that may be my new favorite wedding meal ever. The chic decor created an ambience for the reception dinner that perfectly matched the couple’s energy. Everything felt easy and relaxed, letting the guests get one-on-one time with the couple and enjoy the most delicious dinner, dessert, and wines.

Sadie and Aleskey’s intimate elopement at Chase Court was everything I dreamt of and more. From interactions with strangers to hanging out with their best friends over dinner, it was an honor to spend the day capturing their wedding memories!
